MONTHLY ARTS CLUB LUNCH
The monthly Arts Club lunch Wednesday 5th June is being kindly hosted by Hilary Garner at Holton Lodge Barn, Holton near Halesworth. Hilary is an artist and has also restored the barn into a wonderful space for hire for art exhibitions and workshops, suppers, performances, wine tastings, and other interesting and creative events. At our lunch we will be able to view her current exhibition - several members of Suffolk Open Studios have rented the barn and we will be able to view their work. Let’s meet, mingle and collaborate this month!
Love Caroline xx
If you would like to come, please RSVP to me and I will send you the address. As usual there is no charge and we all bring food and drink to share.
Hilary Garner in her studio.
Holton Lodge Barn is a beautiful threshing barn on the edge of the village of Holton, near Halesworth in Suffolk. The date of the barn is unknown, although Holton Lodge, the house, dates back in part to the 16th century.
Hilary & Rob Garner have lived at Holton Lodge for 14 years and have developed the property sympathetically, including restoring the barn. It is now a wonderful space available for hire for art exhibitions and workshops, suppers, performances, wine tastings and other interesting and creative events. To enquire, please email hilary@hilarygarner.co.uk.

A weekend of music, verse and film to celebrate the 165th anniversary of the East Suffolk Railway
The East Suffolk Railway and its stations were officially opened on 1st June 1859. This was the section of railway that joined Halesworth to Woodbridge, to link Lowestoft to Ipswich along the mainline, and Framlingham, Snape, Leiston, and eventually Aldeburgh, along its branch lines. The rest, as they say, is history, but it is also our heritage. Let’s celebrate!
