MELISSA PIERCE MURRAY PRESENTS TIPPING POINT
Melissa Pierce Murray Presents Tipping Point
Melissa Pierce Murray presents Tipping Point, a dynamic sculptural takeover of the Aldeburgh Beach Lookout. Murray will animate the tower and beach through the use of an oversize sculpture kit of seemingly static sculptural forms. Inky structural spikes, sensual stoney tangles, and painted abstract masses will come to life in an awkward, exhilarating exploration of the Lookout Tower, spilling out of the doors and on to the beach.
I would love all members of the Arts Club to join us tomorrow evening from 5pm - 7pm to meet Melissa Pierce Murray, who will be talking about her dynamic sculptural takeover of the Lookout this weekend. Food and drink will be served.
Opening Party this Saturday 1st April, 12pm - 2pm drinks | The Aldeburgh Beach Lookout
Open Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd April, 11am - 4pm | The Aldeburgh Beach Lookout

NEW MEMBER: JAMES LOCKHART
James Lockhart
James is a landscape artist and portrait painter. He has no studio always painting on site. As Trevor Felsey writes: with James you know the artist was there. Two years ago he moved from London to Suffolk where he quickly had a solo exhibition at the Ballroom Arts. This year he will paint locally and in Spain.
James was born in Oban, Scotland. He studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art, in London where he was awarded the Leverhulme Scholarship. His main influences were his tutors: Patrick Simons RA, and the acclaimed Trevor Felsey, who remains a friend and influence to this day. On leaving the Byam Shaw the Royal Academy invited him to be part of a Young British Contemporaries exhibition.
For many years, after completing an interior design degree, James made a successful living with clients such as: BP, the Chairman of OPEC and the celebrity Katie Price. He also worked as an illustrator for Oxford and Cambridge press. Margaret Thatcher engaged James to organise the exhibition for 400th Anniversary of the Royal Mint at Somerset House.
He has shown widely throughout the UK, NZ and Spain. Recently James was artist of the month on the international website virtual.tart.co.nz.

Herber & Co.
Over the past year I have moved my working practice outdoors and many of you are familiar with the Woodlanding Site we have created at the Farm where the workshops now take place. After a much needed pause for breath it feels timely to begin once again in preparing this very special place to extend its enchantment to those who find themselves drawn by the need to be in the woods, to be foraging the herbs and trees, to be immersed in activity, and to be with the land.
We are delighted to invite you to take a look at the flyer above for the first of our upcoming events, and also the Events listing for 2023.
All workshops are now available to book online via the website!

A temple featuring the Massacre of the Innocents erupts into an orgy of violence. These artworks all feature in Mat Collishaw's up and coming exhibition All Things Fall. The selected works reflect on human perception distorted through the dark, manipulative lens of social media. Find out more here!
