For the Venice Biennale 2019 - An exploration into the meaning of existence and the fruit of conversations between Benjamin Britten and E M Forster...and of Albert Einstein’s insight.

For Einstein the wonder of human existence as part of one universal whole should be examined both as science through logic, and as art through the subconscious.

Please email if you would like to submit a film to Alive In the Universe

Throughout 2018, ALDEBURGH INTERNATIONAL hosts Britten, Forster and Einstein on

Aldeburgh Beach. We want this innovative project to delve, in a multitude of artistic ways, into the question posed by Britten and Forster

“What is my own personal emotional explanation of the universe?”

Britten and Forster each explored this timeless mystery in their own original ways - through music and through literature. We invite artists, poets, writers, thinkers, all of us - to take that same emotional journey - either here on Aldeburgh beach

(as Britten and Forster did) or from anywhere around the world.

And then to express visually how it feels to be alive in the universe as short (2 minute) art films.
