“We believe that small is beautiful. The Aldeburgh Academy offers the core principles and benefits of a traditional art school, but in the intimate and inspirational setting of Aldeburgh.

Small class sizes guarantee students a good level of interaction with teachers, all of whom are practising artists with a good awareness of students’ varying levels

of experience.

Students learn new skills and approaches to making art, while being encouraged to experiment and test their abilities. Through talks and discussions, they contextualise their practice and gain an insight into the work of other artists.

This serious and industrious approach with enthusiastic and lively teaching maximises learning, and offers an enjoyable and rewarding experience.”

Aldeburgh Academy presents Art holiday in Cyprus

22nd - 29th September 2018

I am thrilled to say that David Baldry, director of the Aldeburgh Academy's Art School, has offered to take a group of us on an art holiday to Cyprus! He has taken trips there several times before, and knows what fun it is. David says that each student can make their own work according to their own interest either in or outside the studios. He is available for tutorials and guidance, and there will be crits at the end of the week if desired.
